Spaces. Identities. UX.

The design prompt for this abstract three-week project imagined an infinite wall through which a person may enter a resting space intended for one to three people.

This project explores the idea of spatial compression and release. Upon approaching the threshold, a person steps off the ground to enter a dark tunnel. As they move through this dark space, the walls converge around them. They emerge from the opposite side feeling physically compressed.

Exiting the tunnel, they enter a tall and light-filled space - a pleasant reprieve from the tight darkness. From here, they ascend a dim stair toward a naked-eye observatory completely washed in sunlight. Looking skyward, the walls around them seem to dissolve, delivering a sense of release and physical decompression.
